Received the item a few days ago and have used it daily. It works, but you get what you pay for. I like to use fairly high resistance which is difficult to set because the knobs are so small. When exercising it makes lots of crunchy sounds and it is anything but smooth. It will not keep the tension, the resistance drops and sometimes suddenly increases while being used which seems to be due to the small size of the friction elements. This raises concerns about it's useful life, but time will tell. Right now it does provide the exercise I was looking for, more or less, at the low price.Additional observation: After a few more days of use I noticed a fine black powder coming from the device when in use, apparently from the friction surfaces, like brake dust on cars. It falls on the carpet but I noticed it when using it while leaning back in a recliner, the residue ended up on my T-shirt and does not come off with a vacuum cleaner. As a result I can not recommend this device for indoor use, consider spending the extra money for a more expensive model.About 11 years ago I was interested in strengthening my forearms and wrists to improve my "hinge" and release in my golf swing. My golfing buddies suggested a product called the "Grip Stick" so I purchased the product and used it daily, for a decade, and still use the original product. I searched for another "New Model" to replace my original Grip Stick and discovered that the company had (sadly) closed. Finding the "Exercise Stik" provided hope that a new item was available. So, I ordered the "Exercise Stik" and tried it out....only to be disappointed....it is a clumsy clone of the original Grip Stick and I returned it yesterday. BEWARE: this product is a cheap effort to replace the original Grip Stick and not worth your time.....I advise against purchasing the Exercise Stik for all serious golfers and those of you who, like me, are looking for a rehab device that will strengthen your hand(s), wrist(s), and forearm(s). Even my rehab professionals laughed at the flimsy Exercise Stik.this product is only for an elderly person. You can barely feel the resistance on it. Even when tighten down all the way. Don't worry, I'm a muscle pound guy either, the resistance is just horrible. ALSO, CHEAPLY MADE, DON'T BUY. If I'm tell you believe it.Had it maybe six months, already worn out.Just got this today and did my first workout with it. I really like it. You can do a thorough wrist workout quickly and in a manner that minimizes the risk of an injury. Definitely worth the money. It works very well for a little while but the tension seems to loosen up very quickly. Still does exactly what I wanted. Strengthens my wrists. Not worth buying. It is a cheap piece of junk that does not hold resistanceMechanically defective
